This is a view of the rear corner of the trailer frame.  The cutting torch was used to cut away the cross member (right side) flange so it would slide into the side rail.  If you don't own a torch the outside rail could be reversed and the cross member butt welded. (This was the first vertical weld I had done with the new welder. Not pretty but the penetration was good and created a solid weld.)
